Pre-Tour Sightseeing Options
Garden Route
The scenic Garden Route boasts coastal beauty and charming towns, and doesn’t require a flight from Cape Town!

Tuesday 14th – Wednesday 15th January
Board your international flight from London Heathrow or your choosen UK airport.
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport, where you will be met by your Not Out Travel Tour Manager and embark on your Garden Route journey.
Transfer to the Protea Mossel Bay for your one-night stay on a B&B basis.

Thursday 16th January – Cango Caves & Cango Ostrich Farm
This morning travel by coach to Cango Caves, South Africa’s oldest tourist attraction. The 20 million year-old Cango Caves system consists of a series of hidden chambers cut deep into a thick limestone rock layer. Enjoy a guided tour of these caves, which have been inhabited since the Early Stone Age.
Then move onto Cango Ostrich Show Farm to enjoy the beautiful scenery and a chance to get up close and personal with the animals!
Transfer to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

Friday 17th January – Knysna
This morning, transfer to the Knysna Elephant Park. This was the first facility in South Africa to house and care for orphaned African elephants. These animals include relocated animals, orphaned calves, and elephants rescued from culls. Some have become part of the resident herd, others have moved onto other reserves and facilities in the Western and Eastern Cape, depending on their personalities, bonds with other animals and welfare needs.
Enjoy a tour of the park before heading back to Knysna for an evening cruise.
Cruise to the majestic Knysna Heads, on an iconic double-decker floating restaurant constructed from solid Yellowwood that has been cruising Knysna’s waters since 1988. Served on board is a casual a-la-carte and tapas menu on board. The availability of fresh Knysna oysters, local craft beer and two full bars further enhances this unforgettable family friendly experience (food and drink at own cost).
