If you’d prefer a few days rest before the next Test Match, stay in your Sandton hotel until the 24th Dec when you check out and transfer to Centurion. Optional Excursion 22nd Dec - Apartheid Museum & Soweto Tour

Following breakfast, meet your Not Out Travel Tour Manager in the lobby of your Sandton hotel before departing at 09:30 by private coach for a fascinating day exploring Johannesburg’s recent history and vibrant township culture.

Arrive at the world-renowned Apartheid Museum at approximately 10:00, where you will enjoy a guided visit through one of South Africa’s most powerful and thought-provoking attractions. Through a combination of film, photographs, artefacts and interactive exhibits, the museum tells the story of apartheid and the country’s journey to democracy.

At around 12:00, continue by coach to Soweto, South Africa’s most famous township and a place rich in culture, history and community spirit. On arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, giving you the opportunity to experience authentic South African cuisine and hospitality.

Following lunch, embark on a guided tour of Soweto from approximately 14:00. Highlights are expected to include some of the township’s most significant landmarks and neighbourhoods, providing a real insight into daily life, the history of the anti-apartheid movement and the important role Soweto has played in shaping modern South Africa.

At approximately 16:00, rejoin your coach and transfer back to your hotel, arriving during the late afternoon with the evening at leisure.

Enjoy a relaxed yet lively evening in one of the city’s most popular seafront venues, with great food, music and a brilliant atmosphere as we celebrate the arrival of 2027 together.

Following a coach transfer from your hotel, the evening begins with a welcome drink while watching the sunset over the ocean, before sitting down to a specially prepared three-course dinner.
