The park is home to 32 species of mammals, including common langurs, endemic toque macaques, elephants, leopards, sloth bears, water buffalo, wild boars, and several deer species. Herds of up to 50 can be seen in the open plains, which are dotted with thick manna grass, teak plantations, and patches of dense scrub jungle. While elephants are the main highlight, the park also supports leopards (though rarely sighted), spotted deer, wild pigs, sambar, toque monkeys, and grey langurs. Birdwatchers will be delighted with the numerous species present, particularly raptors like the white-bellied sea eagle and the crested serpent eagle. After your safari, return to the hotel for some rest. In the afternoon, visit the Elephant Transit Home, a conservation facility for orphaned baby elephants being rehabilitated for release into the wild. Return to the hotel for another overnight stay.

Alongside leopards, expect to see elephants (especially solitary bulls in the dry season), sloth bears, wild boars, deer species, and water buffalo. Reptilian life is abundant too, with crocodiles and numerous lizards. Birdlife is extraordinary, including flamingos, painted storks, and the rare black-necked stork.
