Tuesday 20th – Wednesday 21st Jan

Depart UK – Arrive Colombo

Board your international flight from London Heathrow or your chosen UK airport.

Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by your Not Out Travel Tour Manager and transferred to your hotel.

Enjoy an evening at leisure, getting to know your fellow tourists and Not Out Travel Tour Manager at our welcome drinks.

Thursdsay 22nd Jan

1st ODI (D/N)

Following breakfast and a morning at leisure, transfer to the 1st ODI between Sri Lanka and England at the R. Premadasa Stadium. After the day’s play, transfer back to your hotel.

Friday 23rd Jan

Colombo

After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure in Colombo.

Saturday 24th Jan

2nd ODI (D/N)

Following breakfast and a morning at leisure, transfer to the 2nd ODI between Sri Lanka and England at the R. Premadasa Stadium. After the day’s play, transfer back to your hotel.

Sunday 25th Jan

Colombo

After breakfast, join your Tour Manager on a sightseeing tour of Colombo at no extra cost, or simply enjoy a day at leisure.

Colombo City Tour

Drive through the commercial area of “Fort”, named for the Portuguese and Dutch forts once located there. Pass through “Pettah”, a bustling oriental bazaar with a vibrant mix of people, vehicles, shops, mosques, and temples.

Visit a Hindu temple and pass the Jami-Ul-Alfar Jumma Mosque. Continue the tour to Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hulftsdorp Law Courts, Cinnamon Gardens (residential area), Independence Square, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, and the Gangaramaya Temple.

Monday 26th Jan

Colombo

After breakfast, join your Tour Manager on a sightseeing tour to Balapitiya & Galle at no extra cost, or simply enjoy a day at leisure.

Balapitiya & Galle Excursion

Proceed to Balapitiya and enjoy a scenic cruise along the Madu River. Pass through mangrove islets, visit a 200-year-old temple, witness cinnamon cultivation, traditional fishing methods, and coir/rope making demonstrations.

Continue to Galle to visit the Galle Dutch Fort, originally built by the Portuguese and later modified by the Dutch in the 17th century. Despite being over 400 years old, the fort remains well-preserved, thanks to restoration work by the Sri Lankan Archaeological Department.

Tuesday 27th Jan

3rd ODI (D/N)

Following a morning at leisure, transfer to the 3rd ODI between Sri Lanka and England at the R. Premadasa Stadium. After the day’s play, transfer back to your hotel.

Wednesday 28th Jan

Colombo – Kandy

After breakfast, depart on the journey to Kandy (2hrs30).

Upon arrival in Kandy, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Thursday 29th Jan

Kandy

After breakfast, join your Tour Manager on a Nuwara Eliya Train excursion at no added cost, or simply enjoy at day at leisure.

Nuwara Eliya Train Excursion

Transfer to Kandy Railway Station for a scenic train ride through waterfalls and tea plantations to Nanu Oya.

On arrival, continue to Nuwara Eliya and tour the city, also known as “Little England.”

Return to Kandy by road, visiting a tea plantation and factory en route. Learn about the tea manufacturing process, tea grading, and enjoy a cup of pure Ceylon tea.

Friday 30th Jan

1st T20

Enjoy a relaxing day in Kandy before transfering to the 1st T20 between Sri Lanka and England at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. After the evening’s play, transfer back to your hotel.

Saturday 31st Jan

Kandy

After breakfast, join your Tour Manager on a tour of Kandy at no added cost, or simply enjoy a day at leisure.

Kandy City Tour

Morning visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, originally built as a royal pleasure garden and later expanded by the British. The garden spans 147 acres and features a wide variety of trees, plants, and flowers.

Continue with a sightseeing tour of Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive around Kandy Lake (built by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798), visit Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum, and a lapidary.

In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, followed by a traditional cultural dance performance.

Sunday 1st Feb

2nd T20

Day is at leisure. Later in the afternoon, transfer to Pallekele International Cricket Stadium to enjoy the 2nd T20 match of the series between Sri Lanka and England.

Monday 2nd Feb

Kandy

Enjoy a day at leisure in Kandy.

This evening, join you Tour Manager and fellow tourists at the Not Out Travel Farewell Social.

Tuesday 3rd Feb

3rd T20

After breakfast and a day at leisure, transfer to Pallekele International Cricket Stadium for the 3rd T20 between Sri Lanka and England. After the match, transfer back to the hotel.

Wednesday 4th Feb

Depart Kandy

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport for your International flight back to the UK. If you are travelling on an evening flight, you will be transfered to a hotel in Negombo where you will have use of the facilities (pool, showers, luggage store, bar, resturant etc.) until the transfer departs for your flight.
