Why visit Pakistan?
I visited in September 2022 and cannot wait to return!
With three Test Matches between two exciting nations, three fabulous grounds, three incredible cities. You will want to say, βI was thereβ.
The international hotels are first class with varied cuisine and in my opinion the worldβs most comfortable beds, clean rooms and a high standard of service withΒ numerous good quality restaurants that are inviting and inexpensive.
A tour add on is a trip to the Hunza Valley, one of the worldβs jewels. I have travelled for forty-five years and seen nothing quite like it, despite having been to the Alps, Central Massif and Rockies. The views across the valley are sensational.
The people of this region are so diverse, and also interesting to speak to about the varied culture of the area. There has not been a murder in the city of Hunza for over 100 years. The people are peaceful and welcoming to foreigners and are desperate for you to enjoy your stay.
Donβt forget to purchase an inexpensive high-quality woollen suit, made to measure for you in just a couple of days. The shops are colourful and have many items of interest.Β One example, there is a huge Leviβs factory (more of its own campus/town) in Pakistan, and a pair of Jeans cost Β£20 per pair in stores around the country.
Pakistan is a special place; it is unfair to judge it by news reports. It requires a personal visit and afterwards I am sure you would spread the word. I can see this will be the next cricketing Mecca. This England Cricket Tour of Pakistan 2022 is an opportunity not to be missed.
