I am sitting in the departure lounge at Brisbane airport, looking forward to seeing my family again but somewhat disheartened to be going home after what has been an absolutely BRILLIANT trip for me – maybe (aside from one or two holidays with my close family) the best trip of my life.

Much of the reason for this has been the work performed by Not Out Travel, from the moment I called to discuss a possible trip back in the spring, to the pick-up from Four Points to take me to the airport this afternoon and everything in between.

The Not Out Travel team have all been terrific and I must give a shout out to Neil, Sue and Nick in particular. All three have given every ounce of their attention to all of us in Perth, the Red Centre and here in Brisbane. The organisation throughout has been terrific and well done for putting on the extra trip when the cricket finished a tad early! That was quick thinking and a great effort.

The camaraderie has been exceptional everywhere and I have made several friends on this holiday; some I will see on their return to the UK. Others on cricket trips in the future, I hope.

I am writing to first congratulate Not Out Travel for organising an excellent trip. But most importantly, how much I was impressed by the team, both in the office and on the tour.

Starting with Carl in the office: I knew him from previous tours and he was patient and kind with all my queries, even the ones I asked more than once! Next, Andy and Michelle with whom we went on your superbly organised Tasmania trip. We had never been there, and it was a once in a lifetime trip. For me, the highlight was the day we went on the boat into the Tasman Sea. Every time we went to a new place, Andy would recommend restaurants, places to go, etc.

Of course, what can I say about Carole and Nick: they were amazing. We were with them in Adelaide and also, we liked the hotel there. In Melbourne and Sydney, we were with David Stewart, and he was fantastic as well.

Having enjoyed a memorable trip to India with Not Out Travel in 2024, I had no hesitation in signing up for the Perth Test Match in Australia this time.

Among many positive aspects, Not Out Travel score very highly for their personal level of service and their flexibility when customising your package to suit. On both trips, I needed to tailor things to a relatively short time span, and this was no problem at all.

The tours are superbly well-researched and organised. Pre-tour organisation and communication was very good and clear, with Carl providing efficient help and guidance in all things travel.

On the ground, the excellent, highly experienced tour managers help to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere; and they go above and beyond if there is any problem to resolve.

The sightseeing options between Tests are brilliant. And if a Test does finish early – as in Perth this time – Charlie and the team are very good at organising further day trips/activities for the spare days at short notice, so helping everyone to get the maximum from their stay.

It was great to catch up in Australia with travellers I had met previously in India. The whole Not Out Travel experience really lends itself to good times in relaxed and friendly company, regardless of whether you are travelling solo, as a couple, or with friends or family. This is all very well facilitated by the tour managers, who bring people together nicely and ensure no one feels left out. So, thanks go to David (Perth); and to Nick, Carole and Des (India 2024).

I thought Not Out Travel were first class in all respects. It takes a huge amount of management, organisation, attention to detail and arrangements with reliable suppliers to organise a trip on this scale and I think the Not Out Travel Team have those traits in abundance! The way you reacted to early finishes was also excellent, so that alternative options during lengthy breaks from matches was provided to tourists. Planned tour options were very good as were social guest evenings, so was the Christmas event, my very first time away from home during Christmas and New Year.
